Seasonal Casual Events
Each season, Heron Lakes hosts three public events utilizing a "shamble" format. This style of play combines the "scramble" and "best-ball" formats to make for more casual and fun focused events, while still maintaining the spirit of competitive golf. Registration generally opens one month prior to each event. Since these events are very popular and generally fill up quickly, be sure to Join Our E-Club which will provide you with the latest information and updates.

Sunday Shootout The Sunday Shootout is held every February on the day of "The Big Game". The event is a 2-Player Shamble with a tee times starting at 8:30AM. Players are welcome to stay for lunch and prizes while watching the game in the Clubhouse. |

The "Bratish" OPEN Participants choose professional golfers playing in the actual OPEN Championship to play as their teammates in this 2-Player and 4-Player shamble/best-ball event. Tee times will start at 11am (estimated), and run through 3pm, depending on the field size. |

Heron Lakes Oktoberfest Perhaps the most anticipated event of the year, the Oktoberfest is a sure-fire sellout. Zenner's Sausage provides each player with two choices of gourmet sausage, which are paired nicely with a selection of Beaverton Foods mustards. Local breweries also offer up a variety of beers to wash down your meal. Stations are set up on the golf course for players to stop at on their way around the links. This is a date you'll definitely want to mark on your calendar! |
